Make believe map

Whilst watching Jake and the never land pirates, my son decided to get his map and said he can follow where they are going.

So as they visited places he identified them in the map. 

I gave him chocolate coins left over from xmas and he used them as treasure. The he asked for the bag to be open so he can match the coins on the map a the way to the treasure.

So he placed them on and he counted how many he needed on the map and how many was extra for the treasure chest. 

He then role played Captain Hook taking the treasure.

He enjoyed this simple activity that he essentially made up himself.
